Individual Doctorate in Study of Religions
The individual doctorate includes the composition of a dissertation, a curricular proportion of at least 12 ECTS Credits as well as the attendance of a PhD colloquium.
The attendance of research colloquia, university teaching, active participation at scientific symposia, acquisition transferable skills, etc. may be accredited.
At the UZH there are several ways of receiving a doctorate in Study of Religions:
- The faculty-internal PhD conferral with the degree “Dr.sc.rel.” (PhD in Study of Religions).
- The cross-faculty PhD conferral of the Faculty of Theology and the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences with the degree “Dr.phil.” (PhD).
